- Rebecca Burgess is the author of Harvesting Color and founder of Fibershed, a community of fiber farmers, weavers, and other artisans who envision a bioregional textile culture. Rebecca is currently working on a project called Grow Your Jeans, in which jeans will be produced almost entirely in Northern and Central California—even the indigo dye!
- Robin Lynde of Meridian Jacobs Farm is a shepherd, weaver, and teacher who has a fiber shop on her Vacaville farm, where she teaches classes in spinning, weaving, and dyeing.
- Marcia Gibbs is the executive director of the Sustainable Cotton Project, which promotes sustainably grown domestic cotton by working with growers to reduce chemical use and developing a Cleaner Cotton™ supply chain. Marcia also has a Masters in business and has been a family farmer in the Sacramento Valley.
